Doctor's Visit

On Friday I had another doctor's appt.  It was pretty standard like my previous ones.  My blood pressure was 118/70 and I weighed in at 117.8 - another 5 pounds in one month.  I met with Dr. Mckenzie again.  I really like him because he doesn't just ask me if I have any questions, he brings up things that will happen over the next few weeks and what I will need to do.  I heard the heartbeat again which was very strong - 144 bpm.  He also measured my belly which is 23cm.  I am 24 weeks so I am measuring a little smaller but he said that as long as its within one or two centimeters it's normal.  I have one more monthly appt. and then I go every two weeks.  Next appt. I will have my glucose test so I have to drink this fruit punch fluid beforehand so we'll see how that goes!

Date Night

Todd and I had a nice relaxing weekend.  He has been traveling a lot for work lately so it was nice to spend some time together and enjoy the weekend.  We went to North Hills during the day and had lunch at Vivace - one of our favorite places.  We walked around and looked at some of the baby stores there.  We went to Dilly Dally's and got the letters for the baby's room!  We got some blue letters and some blue and white striped letters.  It looks great in his room!  Then we went to the movies and saw Date Night - very funny movie!  After that we met up with Lori and Chris at Shuckers.  We had dinner outside on the patio and listened to the live music.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today I woke up to a nice surprise!  Todd got me a Vera Bradley diaper bag for Mother's Day.  It's exactly what I wanted and I love the color he picked!

We all went to church and all the mother's got a rose and a special blessing at the end of the Mass.

As an extra Mother's Day gift we told our mothers (and family) the name we decided on for the baby! :)

Happy Mother's Day Barbara!  Hope you enjoy the Red Sox game.  We can't wait to see you in just a few weeks!

Myrtle Beach

Back to the beach!  Todd had a work event in Myrtle Beach this week and I went along for the ride.  I figured a little more relaxation couldn't hurt - right?!?!  I was able to walk the beach and relax by the pool while Todd had his meetings.  He did have some down time which we spent together and I also went to two of the dinner events with him.  I met a lot of the advisors & their wives and everyone was asking about the baby.  I am definitely at the point now where it's obvious that I'm pregnant.  Instead of people asking IF i'm pregnant, they are asking me WHEN i'm due.  I am showing a lot more now.

Enjoying lunch during one of Todd's breaks.

Relaxing by the pool and updating my pregnancy calender.

All dressed up for one of the dinner events.

Kiawah Island

Last week we went on a family vacation to Kiawah Island.  Unfortunately Todd was not able to come because he had a big golf event in Charlotte.  We missed him! :(

We all had a great time!

I saw the sunrise every morning with my parents.

Lounging on the couch with Cody!

Leila had a great time!  Here she is on the first day laughing her head off.  She finds Christine really funny for some reason and whenever Christine sings a certain song, she laughs at her.  It's the funniest thing!

Here we all are at the beach.

It was Leila's first time at the beach!  She loved her little blowup pool!  She's wearing the bathing suit I got her for Easter!  Look how cute she is!

Everyone rented bikes for the week to ride around the island.  I of course could not ride a bike so I went on a lot of walks instead.  I definietly got some exercise this vacation.

We went into Charleston for the day and took a tour of the city on a carriage ride.

Enjoying some ice cream - of course!

Every night we made a big dinner at the house.  Everyone was trying to guess the baby's name everynight but I wouldn't tell them!

Here is a group shot of everyone.

I can't wait to go to Kiawah again next year with my family and next time Todd will come too!

We Decided on a Name!

Todd and I decided on a name for the baby!  YAY!  We had our top three names for a long time and kept going back and forth between the three.  Then Todd was in Charlotte for a busniess trip and he was at lunch with one of his clients.  They were talking about the clients son and he mentioned his son's friend's name.  Todd heard the name and loved it.  He wrote it down and when he got home he told me about it.  We tried the name out for a few days and we both love it.  Originally we were not going to tell anyone the name but we have decided that we are going to tell our families and leave it a surprise to everyone else!
